Publication Ethics
HANDLING COMPLAINTS AND APPEALS
Vox Juris guarantees transparency and fairness in its editorial process. If authors have legitimate disagreements with editorial decisions, if they believe there has been unfair treatment, lack of transparency, or discrepancies in editorial decision-making, they may submit complaints or appeals, even after 30 days from the original decision.
Submission Procedure: Authors must submit their complaint or appeal to the designated email address for this purpose: investiga_derecho@usmp.pe detailing specifically what the complaint or disagreement is about, attaching evidence that supports their position.
Review and Response: The President of the Editorial Board will review the received complaint or appeal. If they were directly involved in the original decision, the review will be conducted by a member of the editorial committee designated for this purpose.
Response Time: Vox Juris will provide a response within 30 working days after receiving the complaint or appeal.
Final Decision and Transparency: After a thorough review, a final decision will be made. If the complaint or appeal is valid, the necessary corrections or adjustments will be made. If it is unfounded, clear and reasoned explanations will be provided.
Notification to Authors: Authors will be notified of the final decision in writing, detailing the basis of the decision and the action taken.
POLICY ON CONFLICTS OF INTEREST/COMPETING INTERESTS
Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence their academic work or decision-making process. These conflicts can include financial, personal, or institutional relationships that could affect objectivity and impartiality.
The editors of Vox Juris are committed to ensuring that disclosed conflicts of interest do not unduly affect editorial decisions. If significant conflicts of interest are identified, appropriate measures will be taken, such as assigning the review to other editors or external reviewers.
ETHICAL CONTROL POLICY
Vox Juris is committed to maintaining high ethical standards at all stages of the publication process, from submission to the dissemination of articles. We value academic integrity and promote honesty, transparency, and fairness in our editorial practices.
We ask our authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to ethical principles and avoid any form of publication misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data manipulation, or any other form of academic fraud. We reserve the right to take appropriate action if any publication misconduct is detected.
