Text citations and bibliographical references adhere to the APA citation style in its latest edition.
CO-AUTHORSHIP
According to COPE standards and considering that an article is the result of a prior research or academic work, there are two dimensions to consider in the contributions to an article: Research: In this dimension, contributions can be made (1) in the research design; or (2) in the acquisition; or (3) in the analysis and interpretation of data.
The article itself: In this other dimension, contributions can be made (4) in drafting the article; or (5) in the critical review of it in intellectually significant aspects.
In both dimensions, substantial or critical contributions are necessary. Therefore, an observation, comment, or mere exchange of opinions, for example, does not qualify as a substantial contribution. Moreover, it is not enough to contribute to one of the two dimensions, even if it has been done substantially. There must be a contribution to both: research and article.
In summary, to be part of the authorship of an article, it is necessary to:
Have made significant contributions in at least one of the sections numbered 1 to 3; have contributed to at least one of the sections numbered 4 to 5; and have approved the final version of the article.
If someone has met one or two of the conditions, but not all three, then we can: a) mention that person in the acknowledgments; or b) cite some of their publications whenever directly related to the article and we have used ideas from it; but we cannot add them as co-author.
FINAL PROCESS
Contributions approved for publication will go through the final editing process. The proofs will be presented to the authors for respective control. The changes that can be made will only be in style correction, English correction, but not content. The proofs must be returned within a maximum of seven days by the authors; otherwise, the final version will be accepted.
