MISSION

To generate a space for research and debate addressing current issues in the field of legal science and related disciplines. We strive to be a forum where experts can thoroughly explore and discuss contemporary challenges, thus contributing to the advancement of knowledge in these specialized areas.

To disseminate scientific knowledge of legal sciences and related disciplines to the community. Our mission is to make the most recent research and developments in these fields accessible and understandable, promoting the dissemination of knowledge among the scientific, academic, university, and institutional community, both nationally and internationally.

OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE

To promote and disseminate cutting-edge research in the legal field and related disciplines, aimed at the scientific, academic, university, and institutional community, both nationally and internationally. We commit to being a vehicle for knowledge exchange, promoting dialogue among experts, and contributing to the advancement of research in legal sciences. We aim to be a key reference point, facilitating connection and interaction among diverse academic communities.

CULTURAL, SOCIAL, AND ECONOMIC RELEVANCE

The importance of the journal is justified by its orientation towards the generation and dissemination of knowledge; and the promotion of human and sustainable development at the local, regional, national, and global levels; through research that is inherent to the University, specifically in the humanistic and social sphere, corresponding to the Faculty of Law, with a national consciousness as a multicultural reality, thus having significant meaning for the scientific, academic, university, and institutional community, nationally and internationally, due to the dissemination of specialized knowledge on topics of interest and current affairs conducted with a critical, plural, intercultural spirit and with a full commitment to the country's development, continuous improvement of academic quality, public ethics, and deontology, to contribute to the integral development of society, based on academic university autonomy, in order to channel research.

PERIODICITY

The journal is published semi-annually, covering the periods from January to June and July to December, with each edition published in the first month of the respective period.

ACCESS

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research contributes to a greater global exchange of knowledge. It is licensed under Creative Commons CC BY.

Our journal has no charges of any kind, that is, there are no costs for article submission for evaluation, processing of articles, subscription, or any other type of cost.

The journal allows self-archiving of published articles at the time of online publication and in pre-print version.

DIGITAL ARCHIVE PRESERVATION

The University of San Martín de Porres provides the following regarding the preservation of digitized archives:

  1. Technological Infrastructure

The University of San Martin de Porres has infrastructure in Cloud where it hosts the Web content of the OJS service for its academic journals, the university uses the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud, which maintains the record of domains and subdomains that provide support for academic journals, this infrastructure has load balancing servers (proxy), application servers, and database servers, as well as the DNS service, AWS route 53.

  1. Server Spaces

The academic journals service is hosted on an application server on AWS, which is monitored by USMP infrastructure personnel who control server resources when it comes to disk storage space.

  1. Hardware Upgrades

These are carried out when new equipment is available in the cloud, this change being quick without delays, hardware improvements allow greater performance in application support and new versions of the OJS service.

  1. Software Upgrades

These are based on new versions of the OJS service, where the USMP infrastructure team coordinates activities to make a change in the system and this does not affect the provision of the service.

  1. Infrastructure Maintenance

These correspond to activities specific to the infrastructure area, which carry out maintenance on the virtual platforms that provide support for applications such as OJS. Likewise, backups and restoration are carried out to maintain the backup of OJS information, which is stored in the AWS cloud.

  1. Personnel to attend to them

USMP has permanent personnel for the support of applications and technological infrastructure where academic journals are hosted, this same personnel manages the infrastructure to provide high availability of the service.

  1. LOCKKS and CLOCKSS

Additionally, Vox Juris uses digital preservation services such as CLOCKSS and LOCKSS.

SOURCE OF INCOME

The journal is entirely financed by the University of San Martín de Porres.
