FIGURES AND TABLES CONSIDERATIONS

Figures are drawings, maps, photographs, diagrams, statistical graphs, schemes, or any illustration other than a table. Tables contain necessary information, in content and title, to be interpreted without referring to the text. They only have horizontal lines to separate the header from the body of the table and should not include vertical lines. Articles containing figures and tables should include a summary of these after the main summary.

TEXT CITATIONS AND REFERENCES

Text citations and bibliographic references adhere to the APA citation style in its latest edition.

CO-AUTHORSHIP

In accordance with COPE guidelines and considering that an article is the result of research or previous academic work, there are two dimensions to consider in the contributions to an article: Research: In this dimension, contributions can be made (1) in the research design; or (2) in data acquisition; or (3) in data analysis and interpretation. The article itself: In this other dimension, contributions can be made (4) in drafting the article; or (5) in its critical review in intellectually significant aspects. Substantial or critical contributions are necessary in both dimensions. Therefore, an observation, comment, or mere exchange of opinions, for example, do not qualify as substantial contributions. Furthermore, contributing to only one of the two dimensions, even if it has been substantial, is not sufficient. There must be a contribution to both: research and article. In summary, in order to be part of the authorship of an article, it is necessary: to have made significant contributions to at least one of the sections listed from 1 to 3; to have contributed to at least one of the sections from 4 to 5; and to have approved the final version of the article. If someone has satisfied one or two of the conditions but not all three, then we can: a) mention that person in the acknowledgments; or b) cite one of their publications whenever it is directly related to the article and we have used ideas from it; but we cannot add them as co-authors.

FINAL PROCESS

Contributions that are approved for publication will undergo the final editing process. Printer's proofs will be presented to the authors for respective control. Changes that can be made will only be in terms of style correction, English correction, but not in content. Proofs must be returned within a maximum period of seven days by the authors; otherwise, the final version will be considered accepted.
