Abstract

This study evaluated the effect of a phytobiotic as a
nutritional supplement in Novogen Brown laying hens
during the first laying stage at I.E.S. Publico Huando
(Huaral). Two groups were established: one with
conventional feed (control) and the other supplemented
with the BIO AVIPLEX GOLD® phytobiotic. Parameters
such as weight gain, laying percentage, and economic merit
were analyzed for 20 weeks. The group that received the
phytobiotic achieved a higher average laying percentage
(70.18%) compared to the control (63.32%), and greater
average weight gain (1449 g vs. 1409 g). Economic merit
was 12.06% in the treatment and 4.69% in the control.
The Wilcoxon test confirmed statistically significant
differences. In conclusion, the phytobiotic significantly
improves productive performance and profitability in
laying hens, offering a sustainable alternative to antibiotics.
