Abstract

Gender violence is a very worrying social problem, not only in our country, but also in different parts of the world. On the other hand, San Juan de Lurigancho’s district, as one of the most populous districts, has the highest percentage of complaints about gender-based violence against women. The following work used a quantitative investigation, reflecting the statistics and results obtained from a survey of aggravated women in the San Juan de Lurigancho’s district; the survey was carried out by 50 aggregated women, 60 per cent of whom were women gave up his complaints on the part of the agressor. In conclusion, aggrieved women tend to think about the consequences once their complaint has been lodged, because of the frustration of the facts, however, when they return and engage in a conversation with their aggressor, they reconcile and wish to start from scratch and therefore insist on filing their complaints.
