THE SELECTIVITY OF CRIMINAL AGENCIES IN THE LIGHT OF CRITICAL CRIMINOLOGY: THE BUKELE PLAN
Abstract
In this article, the authors problematize the selectivity of penal agencies in light of critical criminology based on the famous Bukele Plan. For this purpose, a brief conceptual analysis of certain categories relevant to the discussion is made. Likewise, a descriptive-analytical methodology has been carried out in order to contrast the theoretical information reviewed with the data collected from a survey carried out on 37 people from the Faculty of Law of the University of San Martín de Porres. As a result of all the work, it was concluded that, in fact, penal agencies are highly selective and that implementing a Plan like the one in El Salvador requires a complete study and prior evaluation, evaluating the different possibilities and/or more benign measures.
