JEFFREY DAHMER, THE MONSTER OF WISCONSIN: A CRIMINOLOGICAL ANALYSIS FROM THE THEORY OF SOCIAL BONDS
Abstract
The research objective was to analyze criminological theories applicable to the behavior of Jeffrey Dahmer in the murders committed in the state of Wisconsin. Additionally, as a specific objective, the application of the theory of social bonds in the behavior displayed by Jeffrey Dahmer in the mentioned American state was analyzed. Furthermore, the research methodology employed was a qualitative approach, basic type, descriptive-analytical method, documentary observation technique, and documentary instrument. Finally, it was concluded that the behavior displayed by Jeffrey Dahmer in those murders committed in the state of Wisconsin does not affect the four elements proposed in Hirschi's theory of social bonds.
