THE VIOLATION OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF ADOLESCENTS INTERNED IN THE JUVENILE DIAGNOSTIC AND REHABILITATION CENTER OF LIMA DURING THE LAST TEN YEARS
Abstract
This research addresses the problem of recidivism and conflicts in juvenile rehabilitation centers, specifically focusing on the Juvenile Diagnostic and Rehabilitation Center of Lima over the past decade. It aims to analyze the violation of the human rights of incarcerated adolescents and its effects, with the goal of determining compliance with the Children and Adolescents Code. The general objective is to identify the effects of this violation over the last ten years, while the specific objectives seek to demonstrate the violation of the right to freedom, describe the effects on education and health, and analyze the implications of these violations. The justification for the research is based on its social, economic, and technical importance. Socially, it aims to ensure respect for the human rights of incarcerated adolescents to enhance their social reintegration. Economically, it proposes strengthening the financial potential of the Center to improve the quality of services. Technically, it focuses on the lack of qualified personnel and its impact on the social reintegration of juvenile offenders, seeking positive changes in this issue.
