Abstract

This research project focuses on the issue of sex trafficking in the Puerto Maldonado Region over the past five years, with a specific emphasis on the violation of fundamental rights of children and women. The main objective is to determine which rights are being violated, with specific goals including detailing how trafficking affects the right to education, health, and sexual freedom. The justification is based on the importance of addressing this problem from legal, social, and economic perspectives, aiming to raise awareness in society and develop effective public policies. Existing literature is reviewed, highlighting previous research on the topic and its relevance for understanding and addressing the situation in Puerto Maldonado.
