DIGITAL EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE FOR LAWYERS: AN APPROACH IN THE LIGHT OF ONTOLOGICAL COACHING

Authors

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought humanity a break that has produced changes in many areas, one of them having to replace real communication with online communication, that is, through the use of technological systems; This is because due to health measures, people remained confined to their homes, especially during the years 2020 and 2021, causing many activities such as education, professional, commercial and social relationships to be carried out through the use of the aforementioned technologies.

Thus, naturally, given that we are in a new environment, in which the knowledge of emotional intelligence, its impact and potential in a physical space has not yet been fully explored, humanity has seen the need to ask itself what the emotional competencies would be, or if perhaps we have new forms, norms or behaviors to follow in a digital communication environment, understood as emotional intelligence, that we should develop or take into account.

Thus, the research work aims to contextualize emotional intelligence, in light of relevant studies on the subject and ontological coaching, in the same way to investigate the understanding that currently exists between real emotional intelligence versus digital emotional intelligence, distinguishing digital emotional intelligence for lawyers, to finally propose a digital emotional intelligence map for lawyers, as well as the final conclusions of the applied method.
