Abordaje protésico y quirúrgico de implantes mal posicionados: revisión de la literatura

Los implantes dentales constituyen una opción terapéutica rehabilitadora en pacientes parcial o totalmente edéntulos. Sin embargo, existen factores que deben ser considerados como un correcto diagnóstico y una planificación exhaustiva del caso para asegurar el éxito clínico. La colocación de implantes en mala posición representa un desafío para el rehabilitador y predispone a complicaciones estéticas, fonéticas, biomecánicas e higiénicas; pudiendo desarrollarse enfermedades periimplantarias. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo realizar una revisión de la literatura sobre el abordaje protésico quirúrgico de implantes mal posicionados. Se revisan opciones terapéuticas avaladas en la literatura para conocer los distintos abordajes de los implantes cuando no han sido ubicados idealmente.
