Abstract

This article discusses the importance of the right to education in individual and societal development, emphasizing the role of the State in providing quality and free education. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted over 9.9 million Peruvian students, particularly those living in rural areas without access to the Internet or electronic devices. Despite these challenges, the State implemented the "Aprendo en casa" project to continue virtual education, providing Internet access and tablets to vulnerable students and supporting with school meals. However, many students missed out on studying due to layoffs and economic difficulties faced by their families during the pandemic. Despite some advantages of virtual education, such as faster learning for some children, there were divided opinions among parents.
