Abstract

Information systems to support smart heritage are driven by emerging technologies that gather, organize and provide access to large amounts of information. The objective of this research is to carry out a literature review to find the relationship between information systems, smart heritage and systems engineering education. The research method is qualitative descriptive, 27 articles which involve the three research variables were consulted. The conclusions of the review show that cultural heritage adopts emerging technologies to preserve, promote and reconstruct cultural heritage. Furthermore, managing cultural information, duplicating real visualization to virtual visualization while maintaining cultural fidelity, systems engineering proposes new methods and models to cover this need, the university in cooperation with the institutions in charge of heritage protection, acquires technology, updates its educational offering, to contribute with professionals who are capable of creating intelligent information systems applicable to cultural heritage.
