El tratamiento “all-on-four” como solución en los implantes dentales

Resumen

 

El presente informe tiene como propósito el de llegar a una idea sobre el tratamiento “all-on-four”, sobre lo sencillo del procedimiento clínico y los pro y contras que dan para realizarlo; centrándose principalmente en las indicaciones de tratamiento, procedimientos quirúrgicos y protocolos protésicos, y en segundo lugar en las complicaciones mecánicas y biológicas involucradas. Se ejecutó una búsqueda en PubMed y Cochrane, con los descriptores (“all-on-four”), (“implantes dentales”), (“complicación de all-on-four”), (“manejo de all-on-four”) y (“técnicas”), donde se analizaba los trabajos de investigación que evidencien el abordaje protésico y quirúrgico de los implantes “all-on-four”, así como sus consecuencias. El objetivo de tratamiento “all-on-four” es evaluar la tasa de supervivencia de los implantes para rehabilitar maxilar y mandíbula completamente edéntulos.
