Authors

Abstract

Objective: Establish management by processes for making managerial decisions, taking into consideration the company Lácteos San Isidro for this case study. Methods: The study was carried out through a bibliographic review that included reliable sources on process management, management models, good manufacturing practices and quality control systems. Additionally, field research was conducted involving interviews with the manager and key employees to understand the company’s current processes, identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Surveys were administered to employees to evaluate their knowledge and perception of the company’s processes, and existing processes were documented and analyzed. The analysis and synthesis were carried out in three main stages: characterization of the industry and current state of the processes, bibliographic review and design of the process management model and application of the process management model. The results of the study showed that the company lacked a process management model and monitoring tools, which caused obstacles and delays in production. The implementation of the model allowed the strategic and operational processes to be clearly identified, optimizing decision making and improving operational efficiency. It is concluded that it is essential to develop and implement procedures aligned with good manufacturing practices and specific operational controls for subprocesses.
